From Slack to Debian

I'm always write Slackware linux as Slack. I'm start using linux with Red Hat, i'm not so sure which version 7.3 or 8. After Red Hat 9, i follow Red Hat with Fedora Core 1 and 2. At the same time, i try Mandrake, SuSE, Knoppix, Damn Small Linux, Slackware and other distros. But i'm always go back to slack, i don' know why, you can read my Slack experience in my previous blog. Slack still remains one of the best linux distro in this planet. Slack still using KISS philosophy or Keep It Simple Stupid, fast, stable, reliable and secure. I'm using Slack around 2-3 years and i learn a lot using slack. I always heard people said, when you want ask questions about linux, ask Slack people, yes.. they always will be with you. Slack one of the Unix like linux distro, still using config file to configure anything, no GUI just command line. I'm also using CentOS as my production server. My Slack server can go to 6 months uptime unless not disturb by power failure. Until recently i'm transfered to my new department, many of their server using Intel Itanium processor or Itanium 2, Slack until now do not support IA64 architecture besides Slamd64 (for x86_64). I do some comparison between Debian and FreeBSD, both distro very suitable for server, FreeBSD not linux but it's still open source project from BSD family. Finally my decision will go to Debian will be my primary linux distro. Debian support more than 10 architectures included Itanium processor. Here we go... maybe you can find i'm talking about about Debian after this.

Yet Another New Blog Again

I don't know how many times i start a new blog, i think i can stay at one blog not more than 6 months, not more. i don't know why, maybe i got bore when i see a same blog (templates or theme or features) everyday. Before this, i'm blogging alot using Serendipity, Wordpress (cms or blog) Livejournal, Blogger etc. And for sure, i have very limited times for blogging. Currently, I have no more Streamyx or any internet access at my new house, so when i want to start blogging, office hour? even nak pegi minum pun tak sempat. But i will try this blog will available for a long times, Insyallah...
